  • 16 ounces dried spaghetti noodles
  • 1 large yellow onion chopped
  • 4-6 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 ½ pounds sweet Italian sausage casing removed
  • 3 teaspoons dried Italian seasoning divided
  • 48 ounces spaghetti sauce 2 jars, divided
  • 8 ounces cottage cheese or ricotta cheese
  • 8 ounces cream cheese at room temperature
  • ¼ cup sour cream
  • 3 cups mozzarella shredded, divided
  • ½ cup butter cut into slices, divided

Instructions for quick n easy million dollar spaghetti casserole recipe 

  1. Preheat Oven to 350°F
  2. A big saucepan of salted water should be brought to a boil.
  3. Cook pasta according to package directions, drain well, and return to original pot.
  4. Mix in 1 jar of prepared spaghetti sauce. Place aside.
  5. Heat 2 tablespoons olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  6. Cook until the onion and garlic begin to soften, about 5 minutes.
  7. Cook until no pink appears after adding sausage and 2 tablespoons Italian seasoning to skillet.
  8. Drain thoroughly. 1 jar spaghetti sauce is added to skillet. Place aside.
  9. Combine Cottage cheese or ricotta cheese, cream cheese, sour cream, 1 cup mozzarella, and 1 teaspoon Italian spice in a medium mixing bowl. Place aside.
  10. In a 9×13 baking dish, place half of the butter pieces.
  11. Spread half of the spaghetti in the dish, then equally distribute the cheese mixture over the spaghetti.
  12. Spread the leftover spaghetti on top of the cheese mixture.
  13. Serve with the remaining butter pieces on top.
  14. Distribute the tomato meat sauce evenly over the top layer of spaghetti.
  15. Top with the remaining mozzarella and bake in a preheated oven for 35-45 minutes, or until the dish is heated through.
